EMT
(E-Coat Membrane
Technology) is a subsidiary
company of Synder Filtration and sister company of PolyTechs Inc.
It was formed to provide all the membrane technologies required
for the Electrocoat process from a single source.
These technologies inclulde ultrafiltration systems for e-coat paint recovery, anolyte
systems for acid removal, and reverse osmosis systems to provide
high quality water for paint operation.
Why
Spirals?
Spirals have become the industry standard for electrocoat paint
operation and are favored above all other technologies, including
Plate and Frame, Cassette, Tubular, Multi-Tubular, Hollow Fiber,
Sand Logs, and even Carbon Tubes.
Spirals are the standard for two main reasons:
1. Their superior performance and
2. Their low operating cost.
Spirals have been proven to offer the best operating economics
over all other membrane configurations, and thus many companies
sell more spirals than they do other configurations. They offer
the lowest cost per unit area, the lowest energy consumption per
unit of permeate produced along with the smallest footprint and
the absolute lowest installation cost.
Why
EMT?
Synder Filtration was originally formed to manufacture membranes
to meet the needs of its own internal operations. As the demand
for high quality product increased in the marketplace, we turned
our expertise and resources in that direction.
Along a parallel but separate course, PolyTechs Inc. of Japan
developed and patented Tubular Anolyte Cells for the Electrocoat
process. These Tubular Anolyte Cells have become the worldwide
industry standard, and even our competitors are licensees of this
technology.
Why
EMT Spirals?
In addition to having the best UF membrane available, we have made improvements
in the basic spiral element design. These include integral bottom
plugs, improved fiberglass outer wraps, and Virgin ABS anti-telescoping
devices (ATDs) with accomodations for our Element
Handle that makes loading and unloading elements easier for
your maintenance people. Our products are always consistent because
of our ISO 9001 Certification.
We are cost competitive, we offer both direct replacements and
improved replacements for all the other spirals offered in the
marketplace and finally, we have UFCC testing
to guarantee longer membrane life. If you would like longer membrane
life, ask your EMT representative about
our UFCC testing. |
